Contrition is a short psychological horror Twine game produced as a solo developer for Halloween 2020. When a priest takes confession from an unsettling stranger on Halloween night, the player must keep the stranger calm while navigating the priest’s own relationship with guilt.

As a priest, it’s your job to listen to your parishioners’ darkest secrets and absolve their guilt. But when a sinister stranger comes to the confessional one Halloween night, you realize it’s your soul on the line.

  • Designed conversation branches, an in-game approval mechanic, and multiple endings.

  • Edited and mixed in-game sound effects to enhance environmental storytelling.
